Here are some photos of us installing the Helmet Top on our M1097R1 HMMWV, Humvee. Here is the Helmet Top installed but still needing a few mounting bolts securing it to the Humvee.

We found a NOS HMMWV Helmet Top with side boxes and it was delivered today. Thanks to Caveman Towing for helping us get it unloaded from the delivery truck. Stand by, we will be installing it soon.

The exhaust pipe on the Humvee broke near the muffler weld and was not repairable so we got a new exhaust system with new muffler. The Humvee is high enough that I was able to install it myself on a creeper but itr was not easy. Here are some photos:

We installed some thick rubber floor mats inside our Humvee for the dogs. They can grip this flooring better than the bare metal floor and it gives a little sound deadening.

This was the first snow at our place in 2026.

We used our Humvee to pickup the Christmas tree this year.

We have removed most of the military radio equipment cables in the M1097R1 Humvee. We were able to remove them intact without cutting and have a buyer for some of the cables already. We want to make the passenger compartment clear of military equipment so it is more dog friendly….

The M1097R1 Humvee has dual 12 volt batteries to make the truck 24 volts. Both of our batteries had a low charge state so we removed them and charged each of them overnight on a trickle charger. We were able to revive the batteries, for now at least, and they…
